Over the past 40 years, Airbus has played a key role in the international air transport industry’s evolution.
The recent introduction of Airbus’ 21st century flagship A380 marked a new era. Not only is it setting new passenger comfort standards, the aircraft is raising the bar for environmental standards with its low fuel consumption and noise levels, as well as reduced emissions. The extra wide bodied A350 XWB, which will enter service in 2013, will continue to incorporate Airbus innovation and eco–efficiency principles, utilising new and advanced composite technologies to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Airbus offers exciting challenges for talented people in engineering and business focused roles to join a vibrant business; helping to continue to push the boundaries and to create an exciting, sustainable, eco–efficient future for aviation.
Collaborative and innovative graduates will enjoy the chance to develop their technical and leadership skills on the Airbus Direct Entry Graduate (DEG) programme. The structured programme helps develop a detailed knowledge of the chosen business function through placements in the UK and Europe, with strategic partners, customers and suppliers. Individual programmes can vary depending on the function joined.
Airbus DEGs have access to excellent focused training and support to help them achieve membership of professional institutions, further qualifications and long–term career planning. Airbus encourages a work–life balance with flexible working. Involvement in education and community projects, to broaden project management skills, is also part of the programme.
