McDonald's Restaurants Forget the myth that says McDonald's only offers McJobs.

The reality is very different — and far more interesting. McDonald's management careers offer exceptional challenge and support, some excellent rewards and all the potential of a world-famous brand.

Their 20-week management development programme prepares graduates for running a restaurant — Business Management as they call it. This is commercial management in its fullest sense. Graduates gain valuable operational experience in the restaurants, and, as importantly, benefit from wide-ranging commercial exposure. They cover everything from leadership and people development to cash control and profit maximisation.

Provided they excel on the programme, within a few years of joining, graduates could be managing a £million business with a 60-strong team: a McDonald's restaurant. After that they join a management career path that could lead to Executive team level. Naturally, not everyone will climb that high. But as long as they have leadership potential and can make the most of the award-winning training, there's no reason why graduates shouldn't set their sights high.

McDonald's urges graduates to do some soul-searching before applying. McDonald's managers set the tone of their restaurants, bringing the best out of their team. To build their businesses, they have to display energy, commitment and hard work every day. And they need to combine both decisiveness and sensitivity; ideas and action. Only by blending all these qualities will graduates excel on one of the most stimulating management development programmes around.
